Kickballers
There has never been a better time to be a sneaker lover in D.C., with Commonwealth and Major offering limited-edition Dunks, Adidas, Vans and DC skate shoes, plus the Adidas and Puma stores offering good selections of their ranges. The latest edition to the scene is Kickballers, which has taken over the old Smash! location in Georgetown. The shop mixes streetwear (Greedy Genius, LA Denim Atelier jeans), skateboards (look for underground NYC throwback favs Shut) and kicks that will leave any baller salivating, like the classic silhouette of the Nike SB Brazils (only $300 a pair).
-Washington Post (May 2007)
This page is about my old Washington, DC skate/sneaker/clothing shop, Kickballers. It was located in Georgetown, right off M St. I started it with a couple friends and it was a crazy ride. From finding the space, negotiating the lease, dealing with a landlord that was clueless, opening accounts, building the store and anything else you can imagine, I did. I opened exclusive accounts with Reebok, Adidas, Gravis, The North Face, Etnies and many other dope brands. Basically, built the shop from the ground up. We shipped orders all around the world. Germany, France, Canada, England, Japan. We also shipped orders all around the United States.
I wish I kept more from the shop but I will continue to update this as I find more stuff.
